What should be paid attention to during the forming process of PE release film?

Jul 10, 2023 Leave a message

PE release film crystalline material has low moisture absorption and does not need to be fully dried. It has excellent flowability and is sensitive to pressure. When forming, it is advisable to use high-pressure injection, with uniform material temperature, fast filling speed, and sufficient pressure retention. It is not advisable to use a direct gate to prevent uneven shrinkage and increased internal stress. Pay attention to selecting the gate position to prevent shrinkage and deformation;

The shrinkage range and shrinkage value are large, with obvious directionality and easy deformation and warping. The cooling speed should be slow, and the mold should be equipped with cold material pockets and a cooling system; Heating time should not be too long, otherwise decomposition and burns may occur; When soft plastic parts have shallow side grooves, they can be forcibly demolded; Melt rupture may occur and should not come into contact with organic solvents to prevent cracking.

Polyethylene is the most important downstream product of ethylene, accounting for 70% of the world's polyolefin consumption, 44% of the total thermoplastic consumption, and 52% of the world's ethylene production.

Polyethylene is basically divided into three categories, namely high-pressure low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Thin films are its main processing products, followed by hollow containers such as sheets and coatings, bottles, cans, barrels, and various other injection and blow molded products, insulation and sheathing of pipes and wires, cables, etc. Mainly used in packaging, agriculture, and transportation sectors.
