Teach You How To Distinguish Between Coated Paper, Release Paper, And Release Film

From the appearance, there is no difference between coated paper and plastic release paper coated with silicon of the same specification; Moreover, it is difficult to distinguish between silicon coated release films and ordinary films with the naked eye, but you only need to use a few simple tools and operations to distinguish them well. A piece of tape, a signature fountain pen, and a small hand tear paper test are all necessary.

Firstly, let's take a look at the difference between ordinary plastic film and release film. Cut a piece of tape, stick it to these films separately, and then peel it off. It is easy to peel off, and during the peeling process, there is no sound, which is the release film coated with silicon, but it is difficult to peel off. During the peeling process, there is a chirping sound, which is the ordinary plastic film not coated with silicon. This method can also distinguish whether it is a single silicon release film coated on one side or a double silicon release film coated on both sides, and even compare which side is coated with silicon, the amount of silicon, and the size of the stripping rate. Another method is to use a water pen to detect. If you scratch on the surface of the release film, no ink can be drawn, while ordinary films will have ink marks of varying depths.

The appearance of plastic release paper and coated paper of the same specification cannot be seen, but the above method can also distinguish the difference between them.

The appearance of glossy regular paper and coated paper can sometimes be very similar, but if you tear them open by hand, regular paper only has fiber hairs at the edge of the tear, while coated paper also has some small membranes in addition to wooden fibers. If using adhesive tape for testing, there will be a noise when uncovering the adhesive tape on the coated paper, but nothing will stick to the tape, while glossy regular paper will stick to the coating and wood fibers on the surface of the paper.

Sometimes, it is difficult to distinguish the silicon coated Glasin release paper from the common coated silicon release paper with the same specification and color on the desktop, and they also have the same release characteristics. But Glasin paper is made of high-pressure light, so the paper is more uniform and flat, and generally more transparent. So you can easily distinguish the transparency from the uniformity of paper by looking at the brightness of these two similar papers. If you can't do that, you can tear it with your hands, and it is coated paper that can see the film fragments.
